Locking customers out of the store
It seems to be a marketing flaw to send an app update that no longer lets your device access it. You have the creativity to develop update filters which would avoid this. So "window shopping" - looking into the Apple Store App on my iPad - dreaming of future purchases is no longer possible. Sure I can go the long way through a browser, but wait, isnt that why the idea of apps was developed? To speed access to portals increasing convince for the customer? I get the planned obsolescence up to a point. But this is YOUR STORE APP! Where customers CAN upgrade YOUR product. Oh wait, lets make that more inconvenient? Youve saved me a lot of money on impulse buying to upgrade my laptop, iwatch, iPhone, all because I didnt yet upgrade my iPad!? So I guess this is a thank you!
